The cricket fans and former cricketers of Pakistan are quite unhappy with their Pakistani cricket team after it got defeated by the cricket team of India in the match which was played yesterday at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
The Indian team proved itself superior to the Pakistani squad in all the three segments – batting, bowling and fielding and defeated the neighbours by 7 wickets. If this was not enough, Babar Azam did something more to attract the wrath of Pakistani cricket fans and former cricketers.
After the match, it was seen that Babar Azam was taking an Indian jersey from Virat Kohli and this didn’t go down well with many of his countrymen.
The former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram was also furious with this act and during a show, he said that this should have happened in the dressing room and not in front of the camera. Wasim said that after what all happened today, if Babar had to take a t-shirt from Virat because his uncle’s son had asked for Kohli’s t-shirt, then Babar should have taken it in the dressing room.

The Pakistani cricket team put up a very dismal show as batting first, it was able to score only 191 runs in 42.5 overs despite the fact that it got a decent start. Indian bowling was much disciplined and Indian bowlers never gave a chance to Pakistani batters to score runs freely. Only Shardul Thakur went wicketless among the six Indian bowlers as Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Hardik Pandya and Mohammed Siraj took 2-2 wickets each.
In response, India lost Shubman Gill (16 runs) and Virat Kohli (16 runs) early but skipper Rohit Sharma played a captain’s knock (86 runs) and ensured that his team maintained the record of remaining invincible against Pakistan in the ODI World Cup. India won the match by 7 wickets as the team chased the target successfully in just 30.3 overs.
