Aadhaar and Ration Card Linking: It is necessary to link ration card with Aadhar card. After many types of frauds in the name of ration card, this step has been taken by the government so that people can be saved from fraud. The same person commits fraud by making multiple ration cards or people who are not eligible for it avail the benefits of ration.

In such a situation, this step is being taken by the government with the help of which Aadhar card is being linked to the ration card so that such fraud can be stopped.

Date for linking Aadhaar card extended

The last date for linking Aadhaar card with ration card was fixed by the government as September. But in view of the high number of people not linking the cards, the government has extended this date till December 2023.

Name will be removed from ration card list

It has been informed that if a person does not link his ration card to Aadhaar by December, his name will be removed from the list. The purpose of this step taken by the government is to convey the usefulness of ration card to the right people.
